Favorite Healthy Holiday Desserts

‘Tis the greatest time of year! I’ve said that before, and I’ll keep saying it Smile

Thanksgiving !

Thanksgiving is my favorite because of all of the emphasis on family time. Every year, I look forward to seeing my family at my grandparents house in Michigan, seeing the cousins, picking gout a tree, playing card games, and of course, cooking together Winking smile

Actually, for one of my nutrition classes, that I always call “Food Lab” on insta, we have to make a “Family Favorite” for the next meal and my team was assigned dessert. Wellll… we’re not really a dessert-y family. I’m more of a savory kinda gal! After a few minutes though, I remembered I’ve been making crisps & crumbles a lot at school, and apple pie (usually the filling!) is my favorite around the holidays. We’ll be making this fall crumble for my class Smile

This actually also worked out perfectly with this month’s theme:

Trimming the Table

The holiday baking season is upon us. Time to pull out all the stops. Show us the healthy holiday dessert you will be sharing with family and friends this season.’

I don’t make dessert often, but realized I do have a few on the blog!

Like I said, I’ll be making this Pear, Apple & Pumpkin Crumble to take to Thanksgiving (but you can also make this Berry Crisp, super easy using frozen berries!)

At home, we’ll be low-key & enjoying these Thyme Roasted Apples atop yogurt (or your favorite ice cream!) topped with ginger almond butter. It is heavenly!!

For friends, I’ll be making my ginger molasses cookies Smile okay, like a triple batch so I can take some back to school too!

But I couldn’t not share one of my favorite recipes, these Pumpkin, Chocolate, & Raisin Blondies! It’s been too long since I’ve made them. And now, they’d be (a bit?) seasonal!

Come back in a few weeks, and we’ll having another #BGBFriendsGiving round-up, this time featuring more healthy sweets Smile

  1. I love everyone’s creativity when it comes to holiday desserts! I never see tooooo many holiday repeats!

  2. I also love making Crisps and Crumbles during this time of the year, and it smells soooo good whenever I make them!

  3. Oh my so many choices!! They all look so good; the Pear, Apple & Pumpkin Crumble is first on my list!!

  4. Snickerdoodles and molasses cookies are two of my Hubby’s favorites. I like your ideas of fruit crumbles though. My mom always made fruit crisps and crumbles when I was a kid
